AMEND PARKS AND RECREATION FEES & CHARGES EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2022; REPEALING 2021-26 AND SECTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2021-27 The proposed resolution is authorizing to amend and combine the Aquatic Center and Parks and Recreation Fees and Charges into one fee schedule, effective April 1, 2022. The amended fee schedule establishes a consistent and set rate for outside-city users (30% difference); adds membership options, provides discounts for extended memberships; adds a new lifeguard fee (per hour); provides a clear, transparent and consistent definition for Senior and Family; and establishes Recreation Programs by allowing the Parks and Recreation Director to initially establish fees for recreation programs and services, such as activities, classes, courses and events. In conclusion of the above-noted staff report, Lane advised staff is recommending Council consider approving the proposed resolution as outlined in Exhibit A. Before proceeding with Public Hearing and Council discussion, Mayor Truax asked for a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2022-09. VanderZanden read Resolution No. 2022-09 by title. MOTION: Council President Wenzl moved, seconded by Councilor Rippe, to adopt Resolution No. 2022-09 Amending Forest Grove Parks and Recreation Fees and Charges and Repealing Resolution No. 2021-26 and Parks and Recreation Fees and Charges Listed in Exhibit 2 of Resolution No. 2021-27, Effective April 1, 2022. ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES: Councilors Gustafson, Kottkey, Rippe, Uhing, Valenzuela, Wenzl, and Mayor Truax. NOES: None. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
