If it's Thursday... it must be ‪#‎ThrowBackThursday‬! This first week of the New Year we flash back to the floods of 1964 when McLoughlin Blvd (Hwy 99E) was completely underwater and Kellogg Creek overflowed its banks into the parking lot of the then Pendleton Woolen Mills building (now Moda Health) on Lava Drive in the Waverly area of the Historic Milwaukie Neighborhood. The photo features what appears to be a police officer in a boat motoring across the parking lot - which is notably empty of any automobiles. ‪#‎MilwaukieTBT‬ ‪#‎HistoricMilwaukie‬ ‪#‎Waverly‬ ‪#‎PendletonWoolenMills‬ ‪#‎ModaHealth‬ ‪#‎LavaDrive‬ ‪#‎WillametteRiver‬ ‪#‎KelloggCreek‬ ‪#‎flood‬ ‪#‎motorboat‬ Photo Credit: our partners at the ‪#‎MilwaukieHistoricalSociety‬ - visit them on Facebook here: http://ow.ly/UioOe
