Maybe its because we're getting ready for Thanksgiving and thinking about food... but this week we were drawn to this ‪#‎TBT‬ of Mac's Pit, a family barbecue restaurant that was popular in the 1940s and 1950s. The BBQ joint sat on the corner of McLoughlin Blvd and Washington Street. This photo is in remarkably good shape and features the famous "Mac's Pit" sign and parts of the billboard ads on the buildings behind Mac's - Western Auto Stores on the left and McNaughton's Appliance shop on the right, both of which were also well known ‪#‎Milwaukie‬ businesses.
