General Description of Regulation: Expanding existing no parking zone on the west side of SE 23rd Ave to past 90° bend. General Location: Near dead end of SE 23rd Ave north of SE Llewellyn St. Need for Traffic Regulation: The recently constructed apartment building, Henley Place, has increased parking demand. This has led to residents of Henley Place utilizing the on-street parking areas near the dead end of SE 23rd Ave. Vehicles will consistently park near the 90° bend restricting the turning radius for emergency vehicles. The current traffic regulation TRG 133 established no parking up from Llewellyn north to Highway 224. Extending the no parking zone to around the bend will ensure emergency vehicles can safely maneuver. Description for New Traffic Control Measure(s): Move existing No Parking Any Time with Left Arrow sign to a new pole around the curb and install a new No Parking Any Time with Bidirectional Arrow sign on the vacated pole. All other no parking signs along SE 23rd Ave will remain in their current locations.
